I’m fascinated by the idea that the JVM is turning into a mostly abstracted-away piece of infrastructure for other, better things. It’s like not especially caring if you’re on MC68000 or PowerPC or Intel or ARM, but a few levels up the ladder.

• The Little Schemer in Clojure - Maybe not the best way to actually learn Clojure, but it brings back the memories.
• The Elegant Email: I appreciate the implicit proviso that, frequently, the right thing to do is pick up the damned phone.
