Piatti del giorno 67
The first daily post of hopefully a long string of such.
- Castro’s playback scrubber - A detailed dissection of my favourite control in the Castro podcast app.
- Our Comrade The Electron - And in a single talk, Maciej Cegłowski jumps up several rungs on my would-totally-have-a-bromance-with-if-he’d-have-me list. Erudite ethical discussion about how we’re thoughtlessly fucking things up, artfully ranted. De;gr1.
- ಠ_ಠ.m - The entire Unicode movement since 1987 has been leading up to this moment, people. (Quoth the author: “You hear that, Mr. Anderson? That is the sound of inevitability”).
- Tim Cook to NCPPR: Drop Dead. - I’m all for a world with both more angry dismissal of wilful selfish stupidity (the climate-change part), and the marshaling of enormous resources behind things that are right and just (the accessibility part). I mean, wow. Look at the loyalty Steve Jobs inspired even with the well-known tantrums and frequent unwarranted abuse of underlings. Now imagine what a leader with the same focus but quieter strength concealing at least as much steel in his spine will manage. Get the popcorn.
