Progress: my preference for the many ways in which Ruby is awful over the many ways in which JavaScript is awful is becoming progressively less based in ignorance.

• XKCD now! - An even better version of the timezone checker from XKCD.
• The Story of the GnuTLS Bug - Many lessons here, but a side one seems to be: keep your commits small (h/t Kyle Sluder).
• Capturing My(self) - Good run-down of the weak self issue with Objective-C blocks. Definitely an unpleasant interaction with ARC.
