Piatti del giorno 80
I’m upset, so I’m taking apart my computers. If I were a poet, I’d get drunk and yell at the people I love. As it is, I’m gutting my machines.
- Hammock-Driven Development - Rich Hickey’s nice little meditation on foreground-background mind from the first Clojure Conj.
- Turning the database inside out with Apache Samza - A nice follow-on to The Value of Values. Now that I’ve started to grok functional principles, I’m tending to find them everywhere.
- All the ghostly sounds that are lost when you compress to mp3 - This is ridiculously poetic: a song made of the leftover noises the MP3 encoding algorithm has stripped out of Suzanne Vega’s Tom’s Diner (via Alexis Madrigal).
